These hearings occur when an athlete or coach’s behaviour is considered to go against the written code of conduct, and in some cases when there is scrutiny over selections. The results of these hearings can have a significant impact on a career in sports, whether it be amateur or professional.
This is a specialist area, and one in which we have experience. As an example, John has acted on behalf of a New Zealand sportsperson to overturn the decision of his sport’s national body not to select him for the Olympic team—and was successful.
